Mucking about on … the canal!

Rickmansworth Festival boatsThe Wing-It Singers are delighted to have been invited to perform at the Rickmansworth Festival in May this year.

The festival has been running for over 20 years. This year it will take place on 17-18 May. It all happens on and around the Grand Union Canal and the Aquadrome Park, between Batchworth and Stockers Locks. It’s a great day out for all the family, with lots of music and performing arts, displays and presentations, traders, boats and catering.

We will be performing at 11.00am on the main stage on Saturday 17 May 2014. Don’t miss us… and bring your friends!

South of the river on Saturday!

Chumleigh Gardens

Chumleigh Gardens

The Wing-It Singers will be venturing South Of The River (eek!) next Saturday 8th June.

We will be doing two performances of mostly crunchy Eastern European harmonies to complement / compete with the tranquillity of Chumleigh Gardens, in Burgess Park. It’s all part of Open Garden Squares Weekend (and also linked to the Chelsea Fringe.)

Details here www.opensquares.org/detail/Chumleigh.html

And more details about the full programme here: www.southwark.gov.uk/events/event/2488/ (Yes! It says we’ll be “singing music from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean”!)

As far as we know, we will be singing at 12.45 and and 13.45. And it looks like the weather will be fine. So dig out your sunglasses, come and listen!

It’s free, and pretty informal – you can wander in and out as you feel like it, and enjoy the gardens.
