The Wing-It Singers is a world music a cappella choir with an eclectic repertoire but specialising in the wonderful harmonies and haunting melodies of traditional songs from Eastern Europe and Georgia.
We sing (usually unaccompanied) in three- or four-part harmony and delight audiences on a regular basis with our beguiling range of songs and vibrant and heart-felt sound.
Rehearsals: We meet from 7 to 9 pm every Monday evening at St Matthias Church, Wordsworth Road, N16. We are actively recruiting for more Sopranos at the moment. Why not join us?

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and The Little Cooking Pot on 23 March for our #CookForUkraine Supper Party, and to those who gave up their time and resources to make the evening a success. This video gives a little flavour of the evening. The music is a tune from Odessa performed at the event by Bow & Bellows (Sally Davies and Martina Schwarz).
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’ve managed to raise over £3,500 for UNICEF UK’s Ukraine Appeal. We’re proud to have achieved this amount in such a short time.
If you weren’t able to be there, you can still donate here: https://wing-it-singers.square.site/
We are a multi-national, multi-lingual choir. As well as many Brits, our members are French, German, Italian, Polish, Argentinian, Israeli, Dutch, Maltese, Irish,… and Ukrainian.
As a gesture of solidarity with Ukraine, at a recent rehearsal Sally led us in singing and recording Ukrainian folksongs. One of our members, Olia, described the situation of her family in Ukraine and outlined ways she is trying to get help into the country.
Here is a short film with all four songs – for the fuller versions, check out our YouTube channel.
We often use our concerts to raise funds for people in distress, e.g. in Nepal, Syria, Myanmar and Afghanistan. We now ask if you could also please consider donating towards humanitarian aid for Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees. Here are some donation links.

In the run up to COP 26, the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow, choirs across the country are sending a message to the world through Louis Armstrong’s song What A Wonderful World. (See Sing The Change for more info.)
Here we are performing it with Hackney Harmony and the Stapleton Singers, with our director, Sally Davies conducting. Please share! We also sang it live on Oct 30th with up to 1000 singers in Russell Square. We have a wonderful, but vulnerable world! #SingTheChange #WonderfulWorld #nomusiconadeadplanet
