The Wing-It Singers is a world music a cappella choir with an eclectic repertoire but specialising in the wonderful harmonies and haunting melodies of traditional songs from Eastern Europe and Georgia.

We sing (usually unaccompanied) in three- or four-part harmony and delight audiences on a regular basis with our beguiling range of songs and vibrant and heart-felt sound.

Through our Winter Concert in December (our first concert for a very long time!) we managed to raise over £2,000 for AfghanAid. If you missed the concert but would like to support people in Afghanistan, please donate to the Afghanistan Crisis Appeal.

Rehearsals: We meet from 7 to 9 pm every Monday evening at St Matthias Church, Wordsworth Road, N16. We are actively recruiting for more Sopranos at the moment. Why not join us?

News: In the run up to COP 26, the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow, choirs across the country are sending a message to the world through Louis Armstrong’s song What A Wonderful World. (See Sing The Change for more info.)

Here we are performing it with Hackney Harmony and the Stapleton Singers, with our director, Sally Davies conducting. Please share! We also sang it live on Oct 30th with up to 1000 singers in Russell Square. We have a wonderful, but vulnerable world! #SingTheChange #WonderfulWorld #nomusiconadeadplanet

Our ‘lockdown 2021’ project – a sea shanty of course!

Here we are doing an impromptu Georgian drinking song late one night at St Pancras Station…
