This winter the Wing-It Singers are doing concerts on two consecutive days so if you miss one, you can catch the other!
The first is at St Mary’s Old Church on 16 December at 8pm and we are sharing the bill with the wonderful saxophonist/clarinetist Catherine Shrubshall and the sensational percussionist / pianist / vocalist Fiona Baines, who will be serving seasonal cheer between the choral courses. Expect some delicious vocal and instrumental collaborations too. There will be a bar and nibbles provided.
Tickets are on sale NOW at http://wingitsingers.tictail.com/products/buy-concert-tickets
The very next day you can enjoy lunch at the Union Chapel’s wonderfully eclectic ‘Daylight Music’ gig where we will be performing alongside Welsh folk musician The Gentle Good and the Japanese artist Hatis Noit.
The Wing-It Singers is a world music a cappella choir with an eclectic repertoire but specialising in the wonderful harmonies and haunting melodies of traditional songs from Eastern Europe and Georgia.
We sing (usually unaccompanied) in three- or four-part harmony and delight audiences on a regular basis with our beguiling range of songs and vibrant and heart-felt sound.
We meet from 7 to 9 pm every Monday evening at St Mary’s Old Church, Stoke Newington Church Street. Why not join us?
Choir starts back after the summer holidays on 19 September 2016.
Here we are doing an impromptu Georgian drinking song late one night at St Pancras Station…
